Jacqueline Cai is a rising senior at Skyline High School. She is an active member of the Skyline robotics team and a former member of various FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams. During the past seven years, she's had experience coding with Scratch, Python, Java and applying those skills to robotics. During the pandemic, she created a school simulation program using Java for users to interact with the computer console.
This is a course designed to introduce students to a math level between grades 3-4. This includes topics such as 2D figures, angles, multiplication for fractions, fraction and decimals, perimeter and area, and many more. Elementary school students preparing to learn Grade Three to Grade Four level of math. This course introduces and teaches students the basic understanding of math within the grade level to help prepare them ahead. It can help prepare students seeking to prepare beforehand what is within a school year.
This course is designed for students who want to learn the most popular programming language and understand the basics of game development but have little to no experience with Python 3 and/or programming. In this course, we will be learning about the basics of Python 3 and some of the very useful modules including Pygame, Turtle, and Arcade to create interesting and challenging projects including Space Invaders, Change Lanes, Hungry Fish, and a series of smaller projects!
This course will serve as an introduction to what Arithmetic's is and let the students have a deep understanding of the basics of prealgebra. Throughout the course, students will learn whole numbers, fractions and mixed numbers, decimals and percent's, ratio proportion, and signed numbers. Each of these topics will be first taught to students then there will be practice problems.
